Thuringian Castle Award


The German Amateur-Radio-Club, local group Gera (DOK X 20) is issuing this award, which is eligible for hams and and short wave listeners.

Valid are all contacts made after the 1st of January 2003 with portabel (/p)-stations, which are or were located within a radius of max. 500 meters of a castle in Thuringia.

Every castle is tagged with a number „Thüringer-Burgen-Nummer“ (THB) which means Thuringian Castle Number. The THB-number must be printed, stamped or written in clear script on the qsl-card by the operators of the /p-stations .

For the award application every castle-number is valid only once, regardless of the band.

For the award application are needed for:
 

DL-stations  10 different THB-numbers
Other EU-stations  7 different THB-numbers
DX-stations 5 different THB-numbers

You can apply for the award in every mode (except packet radio), also mixed. With the right proof you can get the award also for a single mode or a single band. You can send the award application with a list of the qsl-cards (confirmed with the signature of a fellow ham) (GCR-List) and the fee of 5 Euro + actual post fees of 1,45 EUR (for DL-HAMs) or 7 Euro / 10 US-Dollar (for HAMs outside DL) to the following address:
